Travis Hodges is internationally experienced in grass-roots community development, promoting sustainable place-specific approaches to local issues. He holds a Master of Architecture degree in Urban Design from University College London, and a Bachelor's degree in Architecture from the University of Michigan. Committed to building strong vibrant communities, Travis worked in El Salvador from 2007 to 2009 as a municipal development specialist with the Peace Corps. Together with local government and town residents, he designed and managed projects that involved the community in every step of the process, providing locals a sense of ownership they seldom experience. Having personally witnessed architecture's potential to empower communities, his collaborative approach reflects the belief that the most wonderful places in the world are not made by architects, but by people.
